Hey Oppo, I am about to wring some necks at work. Or maybe light the sucker up and walk away like a bad ass before it explodes with out turning around. So if your feeling like being unproductive at the moment, share your cheapest local E-Type Roadster for sale so i can bask in its glory and dream up terrible terrible ideas.
1974 Jaguar XKE V12 Roadster $36,500
I need more convincing on doing a terrible terrible idea.

Trade them the 928
![]() 11/18/2016 at 14:40 |

Yeah... the 928 I can’t even off load for $1500.....

Partly restored E-type for $22,500. Oh, and it has quad exhaust for some reason..

Not a convertible though. This, however, is a local E-type convertible. Now guess how much they want for it.

Yes, that’s right. €60k. Laughable.

All I’ve got. Best part? That’s CAD, or... 35528.45USD as of right now.

I believe the quad exhaust is a factory thing. That is a very awesome shop!!

OMG!! HA HA HA
![]() 11/18/2016 at 14:57 |

That’s a lot, but it is a series 1 coupe

These are the same guys who sell rust for a minimum of $10k. While this car is restorable, it’s not a $36k car as it sits.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:02 |

Now you are talking. That’s a family car right there.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:05 |

That’s actually a S1.5 2+2. Headlights appear to be uncovered, and the indicators are above the bumper. Lots of money for that car. I’d buy a scow FHC/roadster instead of the world’s nicest 2+2.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:11 |

That is a stock outlet on V12 series 3 cars.

This is being parted out near me. Apparently they finished with the sawzall, fitted the wheel, then just said “Fuck this” and started parting it out.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:13 |

OMG!! Poor car. That’s so sad
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:14 |

You’re right.
2+2's are the least desirable of the E-Types. The only thing that car has going for it is that it’s not a series 2 2+2.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:15 |

Oh you’re right, I was only looking at the tail lights, but I didn’t see the uncovered fronts. Yes that is a 1.5.
Exactly!! That’s why I want that series 3 so badly!
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:16 |
|
That’s a series 3 2+2. Probably worth more in parts than it is whole.
Sad.

Yeah, classic car prices are stupid. I bet I could talk them down, but I don’t have the money at the moment to talk them down to.... So really I am just here to hurt myself with things I can’t afford or have

The roadster is the best S3. You can do this with it:
Bob Tullius was some crazy kind of maniac back then.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:24 |

Yep. My uncle has a S1.5 2+2 auto that I could pickup for a song, but I just don’t want it. It’s like ordering a Coke and you get a Diet Coke...yeah it’s a Coke but who gives a fuck?
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:24 |

I think a home built Light weight series 3 would be super cool.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 15:32 |
|
Anything complete/running that’s under $30K is a 2+2.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 16:30 |

True statement. A 2+2 is juuuuust enough of a bastard that I’d rather have no E Type instead of a 2+2.
![]() 11/18/2016 at 16:44 |

I emailed them my offer
![]() 11/18/2016 at 16:49 |

Also the fact that the Automatic would only fit in the longer wheelbase cars (2+2 and both Series3 cars).
There is no such thing as a auto series 1 or 1 convertible or coupe.

Oooooo

One red 928

Huh. I learned something today, and it makes perfect sense.

That’s terrible.
